Setting Up Prizes
Prizes drive angler participation. You can offer:
Physical prizes — rods, reels, tackle boxes
Gift cards — store credit for your shop
Store credit — redeemable at checkout
Promo codes — percentage discounts
When a derby ends, winners receive redemption codes. They bring the code to your shop and you validate it through the captain dashboard.
QR Codes for In-Store Signups
Every derby gets a unique QR code. Print it and display it at your counter. When anglers scan it, they land on the derby join page where they can sign up and pay the entry fee.
Managing Submissions
Anglers submit catches through the app using the BHRV flow:
Bump board — photo of fish on measuring board
Hero shot — angler holding the catch
Release video — fish being released
Verify — blockchain timestamp and AI species verification
You can review submissions in the captain dashboard under Fish > Submissions.
Seasons
Seasons let you run recurring competitions across multiple derbies. Anglers who join a season accumulate points across all included derbies.
