Angler Guide
Welcome to DerbyFish. This guide covers everything you need to know about joining derbies and submitting catches.
Joining a Derby
There are two ways to join:
QR Code — Scan the QR code at a participating tackle shop
Direct Link — Visit derby.fish and browse available derbies
After selecting a derby, pay the entry fee (if applicable) and you are in.
Submitting a Catch
DerbyFish uses the BHRV verification system to ensure fair competition:
Bump Board — Place your fish on a measuring board and take a clear photo
Hero Shot — Take a photo of yourself holding the catch
Release Video — Record a short video of you releasing the fish
Verify — Submit through the app. AI verifies the species and blockchain timestamps the catch
Leaderboards
Live leaderboards update as catches are verified. Scoring depends on the derby rules:
Biggest single fish
Total weight
Most fish caught
Species variety
Prizes
When a derby ends, winners receive redemption codes via the app. Take your code to the hosting tackle shop to claim your prize.
